Job summary

The Ivy Collection is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team at The Ivy. You will maintain cleanliness and organisation, assist with basic food prep, and support overall kitchen efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

No previous experience is required, but kitchen experience is preferred. Expect opportunities for growth, a minimum 20-hour contract, and strong health and safety expectations.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required, though experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Good level of Health & Safety knowledge.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Ensure cleaning chemicals and equipment are stocked (e.g. blue roll and sanitizer).
