Job summary

Haven JD Wetherspoons is seeking a Kitchen Porter to keep our kitchen running smoothly in a fast-paced environment. You’ll assist with basic food prep, dishwashing, cleaning duties, and support the team in daily operations to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, but kitchen or porter background is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen clean and orderly by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, and sanitising surfaces, equipment, and floors according to health and safety standards.
• Perform basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables and prepping ingredients as directed by the chefs.
• Help maintain stock levels by organising ingredients, unpacking deliveries, and storing items properly.
