Job summary

The Holiday Inn Guildford Hotel, part of LGH Hotels Management, is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to keep the kitchen running smoothly, safely and efficiently. You will support chefs with set‑up and basic food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and help create a calm, efficient kitchen where the team can perform at their best.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently
• Keep all kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised throughout the shift
• Sweep and mop floors and manage waste and recycling responsibly
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling and chopping vegetables
• Receive, check and store deliveries of food and kitchen supplies correctly
• Support kitchen set‑up and close‑down procedures
• Clean cooking equipment and work surfaces to hygiene standards
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety guidelines at all times
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth service
• Report any maintenance, hygiene or health & safety concerns promptly
