Job summary

The Holiday Inn Cambridge, part of LGH Hotels Management, is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to keep the kitchen running smoothly and safely. You will help with cleaning, basic prep, dishwashing and delivering a calm, efficient work environment for the team.

You will support hygiene, food safety and service flow, while benefiting from team collaboration, safety awareness and opportunities to learn in a busy hospitality setting at a busy Cambridge hotel.

Qualifications

• Understanding of cleanliness, hygiene and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently.
• Keep all kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised during the shift.
• Sweep and mop floors and manage waste and recycling responsibly.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling and chopping vegetables.
• Receive, check and store deliveries of food and kitchen supplies correctly.
• Support kitchen set-up and close-down procedures.
• Clean cooking equipment and work surfaces to hygiene standards.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth service.
• Report maintenance, hygiene or health & safety concerns promptly.
