The Holiday Inn Guildford is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team and help keep the operation running smoothly, safely and efficiently.

You will support chefs with preparation and set‑up and contribute to a calm, efficient environment where the team can perform at their best. The role emphasizes cleanliness, organisation and teamwork in a busy hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment thoroughly and efficiently.
• Keep all kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised throughout the shift.
• Sweep and mop floors and manage waste and recycling responsibly.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling and chopping vegetables.
• Receive, check and store deliveries of food and kitchen supplies correctly.
• Support kitchen set‑up and close‑down procedures.
• Clean cooking equipment and work surfaces to hygiene standards.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety guidelines at all times.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth service.
• Report any maintenance, hygiene or health & safety concerns promptly.

This role is at the heart of the kitchen operation. By maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation, and supporting the chefs with preparation and set‑up, you will help create a calm, efficient environment where the whole team can perform at their best.

Key Responsibilities
