Overview

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team at Dragon School. This is a great opportunity to play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment in a supportive, food-led education setting.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
  • Assist chefs with basic food prep and stock deliveries
  • Operate dishwashers and ensure proper sanitation practices
  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Support the team in daily kitchen operations and setup for service, and uphold respectful codes of conduct in interactions with clients, customers, suppliers and colleagues
  • Contribute fresh thinking and ideas for food, service and ways of working

Requirements / Qualifications
  • A keen interest in food and cooking, eager to learn and develop skills
  • Good attention to detail and understanding of hygiene practices
  • Team player with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Previous kitchen experience or relevant training is beneficial but not essential
  • Willingness to work in an education or high-profile catering environment is desirable
  • Right to Work in the UK is required to be considered
