Job summary

Holroyd Howe is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join the RGS Surrey Hills kitchen team. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment in a food-led education setting, supporting chefs and ensuring allergen controls are followed.

The role is suited to someone with a keen interest in food, strong hygiene practices, and the ability to work well in a team within a school catering context. Right to work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.

  • Follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Support the team in daily kitchen operations and setup for service.
  • Champion allergen controls and uphold conduct standards.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team at RGS Surrey Hills. This is a great opportunity to play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment in a supportive, food-led Education setting. You will be joining Holroyd Howe, one of the UK's leading contract caterers, providing fresh innovative food services solely to independent schools and colleges. We are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision specifically to suit children of all ages in order to meet the bespoke requirements of each school. The safety and wellbeing of the people we serve is at the heart of everything we do. A key element is effective allergen management; achieved through training, communication, and care, we create mealtimes where every pupil has a safe experience. Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
  • Assist chefs with basic food prep and stock deliveries

  • Support the team in daily kitchen operations and setup for service

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen experience or relevant training is beneficial but not essential
  • Willingness to work in an education or high-profile catering environment is desirable
