Job summary

Holroyd Howe is recruiting a reliable Kitchen Porter to join the catering team at Charterhouse School in Godalming, Surrey. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, support chefs with basic food prep, and assist with service across breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.

The position is full-time (5 out of 7 days) with a 35-hour week, 27,000 GBP per year, and benefits including free meals on duty and opportunities for development within a leading school catering

About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join the catering team at Charterhouse School.

You will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment at all times.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a busy, high-quality education catering setting, supporting the delivery of breakfast, lunch, and dinner service to students, staff, and guests seven days a week.

You will be joining Holroyd Howe, one of the UK’s leading contract caterers, providing fresh, innovative food services exclusively to independent schools and colleges. We are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision specifically to suit children of all ages and meet the bespoke requirements of each school.

Working Pattern:

• Approx. every third weekend off, helping support a strong work-life balance
• Quieter weekends in main dining areas, with exciting Saturday sports events Working pattern
• This is a 5 out of 7 day rota with a mix of shifts to meet operational needs:
• Early shift: 6:30am – 2:30pm
• Late shift: 12:30pm – 8:30pm
