Job summary

WSH Restaurants is seeking a Kitchen Porter/Dishwasher for The Clockspire in Milborne Port, part of our growing UK restaurant group. You’ll support the kitchen team with washing, cleaning and basic prep, helping maintain a safe, sanitary workspace and ensuring utensils and equipment are ready for chefs.

Ideal candidates enjoy hands-on work, can stand for long periods, and work well in a team. We offer meals, pension and progression opportunities within the group.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required, GCSEs may be preferred.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Hands-on and proactive approach; able to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas; empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Handle goods in and out.
