Job summary

Hetland Hall Hotel, part of the RAD Hotel Group, is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team in a busy, high‑standard environment at Hetland Hall in Dumfries and Galloway. The role focuses on cleaning crockery and surfaces, keeping the kitchen tidy and safe, and assisting with basic food preparation as directed by the Head Chef, with flexibility for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but not essential.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude.

• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and hygienic.
• Assisting with basic food preparation as directed by the Head Chef.
• Supporting the kitchen team with various tasks as needed.
• Ensuring work areas are kept clean, tidy and safe throughout service.
• Assisting with waste management and maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene.
• Supporting the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
