It’s an exciting time to join Team TLH. We’re on a mission to be the ‘Number One choice for all Hotel Based Leisure in Torquay’ with an ambition to be busy 365 days a year! Our star-studded team is the key to delivering our mission and we want the best people in the Bay to be part of it.

As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide support to our committed and professional kitchen teams washing pots and pans, keeping the floors clean, sanitizing food preparation areas and occasionally helping with food prep work.

Previous kitchen experience is preferred.

Your responsibilities will include:

• To maintain high levels of cleanliness at all times in the kitchen service areas, inclusive of washing of crockery, cutlery, glass and cookware.
• To maintain safe working practices in accordance with Fire, Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations, using the correct cleaning methods and cleaning products provided, in line with company departmental COSHH training.
• Keeping the floor areas clean
• To provide excellent efficiency in standards of guest services and cleanliness of equipment
• Keep kitchen resources tidy and organised in line with company standards and departmental training.

Hours and Rate of pay:

This is a full-time permanent role of 40 hours across 5 days, which may require some split shifts and weekend availability.

Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour – Aged 21+ (£10.42 per hour for aged19-20; £10 per hour for aged 18; £9.50 per hour for aged 16-17)
