Job summary

Rick Stein Restaurants is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join The Cornish Arms in St. Merryn. You’ll help keep the kitchen clean, wash dishes and support the chefs in a busy, fast‑paced environment.

Earn up to £15.53 per hour including tips, with staff meals and generous discounts. We provide ongoing training, clear progression paths, and a supportive team culture within a respected hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.
• Pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Previous kitchen porter experience is helpful, but not essential – full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and running efficiently
• Washing dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment to a high standard
• Supporting the chefs with basic food prep when needed
• Maintaining hygiene, health & safety, and food safety standards at all times
• Helping with deliveries, waste management, and stock organisation
• Being a key team player in a fast-paced, professional kitchen
