Job summary

RBH Management operates the Mercure Paignton and ibis Styles Paignton. We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our growing kitchen team, helping keep the area clean, organised, and running smoothly.

You’ll support chefs during busy shifts, handle basic prep, and ensure hygiene standards are consistently met in a fast-paced, guest‑facing environment by the sea.

Responsibilities

• Clean and organise equipment, utensils and workspaces to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Wash and sanitise pots, pans, dishes and kitchen tools for the next service.
• Assist with basic food prep tasks during busy shifts.
• Manage waste and keep storage areas stocked, organised and clean.
• Receive and store deliveries, supporting a tidy kitchen stock system.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene standards rigorously.

Kitchen Porter to join our growing kitchen team across the Mercure Paignton and ibis Styles Paignton. This is a great opportunity for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment. You'll play a vital role in supporting the chefs, keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and running efficiently, while being part of a supportive and fast-paced team.,

• Keep the kitchen running smoothly by cleaning and organising equipment, utensils, and workspaces.
• Wash and sanitise pots, pans, dishes, and other kitchen tools, making sure everything is ready for the next dish.
• Help with basic food prep tasks, like peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients, to support the chefs during busy shifts.
• Manage waste by disposing of rubbish, recycling, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Keep storage areas stocked, organised, and clean, ensuring supplies are easy to find and ready to use.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, helping to keep the kitchen stocked and organised.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards rigorously, contributing to a safe and spotless kitchen.
