Job summary

Parsonage Grill is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team. The role involves washing utensils, assisting with deliveries, and maintaining health and safety standards in a busy kitchen. A 40-hour week is offered on a Monday-Sunday rota, with part-time hours also considered.

The position includes meals on duty, a 50% food discount across restaurants, and various benefits; training and development opportunities are provided within a small, supportive team.

• Experience in a similar restaurant is beneficial; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Wash and dry cooking utensils, crockery and equipment and return to storage so chefs have what they need during service.
• Assist in receiving, unpacking and storing deliveries when requested.
• Adhere to Health, Hygiene and Safety standards in the kitchen using COSHH and HACCP precautions where necessary.

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our Kitchen team at the Parsonage Grill.

The ideal candidate will:

Typical duties of this role are:

• Ensure all cooking utensils, crockery, and any equipment used in food preparation are washed and dried thoroughly and returned to their correct storage place in the kitchen. This is to be done efficiently in order to ensure the chefs have sufficient equipment and resources during service.
• Assist in receiving/unpacking/storing any deliveries when requested.
• Adhere to Health, Hygiene, and Safety standards in the kitchen, as set out in the company Health and Safety policy using COSHH and HACCP precautions where necessary.

Requirements for the position:

• Experience in a similar restaurant is beneficial although full training will be provided

We offer a sensible shift pattern, across a 40-hour working week (Monday to Sunday rota with two days off) with an OTE up to £14.66 per hour, £30,493.00 per annum, including non-contractual service charge (tronc).

Part-time hours may also be considered.
