Accorhotel is seeking a kitchen/cleaning operative to maintain hygiene, clean equipment and support chefs across shifts. You will follow health standards, handle chemicals safely and help with deliveries and waste disposal in a busy hotel kitchen.

The role requires basic food hygiene awareness, physical stamina and strong teamwork to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided, with opportunities to develop within Accor.

Qualifications

• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and industrial dishwashers.
• Basic food hygiene awareness and safe handling of ingredients.
• Physical stamina for standing long periods, lifting heavy items and hot environments.
• Effective communication and teamwork to support chefs and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Keep all kitchens clean and tidy in line with Health & Hygiene regulations.
• Count, sort and prepare operating equipment as required.
• Handle chemicals and equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Ensure all equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware are hygienically cleaned and stored.
• Follow cleaning rosters and standard methods for deep cleaning floors, walls, and equipment.
• Contribute to cost control through energy and water conservation.
• Receive deliveries and tidy food items according to storage guidelines.
• Clean workplace and staff dining areas as directed by supervision.
• Assist with loading bay duties: tidying, cleaning and receiving deliveries.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.
• To count, sort and prepare operating equipment as required.
• Ensure correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturer's instructions.
• Ensure all operating equipment, crockery, cutlery & glassware is hygienically cleaned and safely stored.
• Follow the regular cleaning rosters and standard methods for deep cleaning of floors, walls, coolers, oven & operating equipment.
• To contribute to cost control through energy conservation and the careful use of water, cleaning materials, and other appliances
• Ensure garbage is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift.
• Utilise safe and hygienic methods for the removal of dry and wet waste.
• Any other reasonable request as required by your Supervisor or Hotel Management.
• Helps receive deliveries and tidies food items according to storage guidelines.
• Cleans and tidies the workplace and employee's dining room following the supervisor's instructions.
• Loading bay duties - tidying, cleaning, and receiving deliveries.

General Duties

• Follow the standards and performance outlined during training and in the departmental service procedures manual. Complete all tasks within the shift to these standards.
• Follow the expectations and guidelines in the Accor Employee Handbook.
