Job description

The Escapade Kitchen Porter is a vital member of the kitchen team. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment to ensure smooth operations.

The role supports chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff, playing a key role in the efficient operation of a restaurant or culinary establishment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintaining cleanliness: Operating dishwashing equipment, cleaning and sanitising dishes, utensils, and kitchen surfaces. Proper waste disposal is also required.
2. Stock and Inventory Management: Monitoring and managing cleaning supplies and kitchen equipment, maintaining an organised workspace.
3. Communication and Collaboration: Assisting in food preparation, stocking supplies, and communicating effectively with staff. Reporting maintenance issues and assisting during busy periods.
4. Hygiene and Safety: Following safety and hygiene standards, including chemical handling and waste disposal.
5. Sustainability: Promoting and acting on sustainability initiatives as directed.

• Impeccable personal grooming and professional presentation.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
