Searcys is opening an incredible new venue in one of London's most iconic, historic spaces this year and is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join the team.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to assist the Kitchen Team in daily operations. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen staff by ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen areas, and assisting with basic food preparation.

Location & Collaboration

The role is based in the newly refurbished Sainsbury's wing at The National Gallery. Searcys is proud to collaborate with the world-famous, Michelin-starred Chef Giorgio Locatelli on this project.

Job Details

Salary: £13.85 per hour

Working Days: 5 days over 7, with gallery hours from 10-6, and Fridays until 9.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, including sinks, countertops, and floors.
2. Wash and sanitize utensils, dishes, and equipment.
3. Maintain storage areas and food safety standards.
4. Assist with waste management and recycling.
5. Support chefs with food prep, such as washing vegetables and cutting ingredients.
6. Organize and store kitchen supplies.
7. Help unload deliveries and store items appropriately.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
