Job description

Searcys is opening an exciting new venue in one of London's most iconic and historic spaces this year, and we are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team.

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to support the Kitchen Team in daily operations. As a Searcys Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen, as well as assisting with basic food preparation tasks.

The position is based in the newly refurbished Sainsbury's wing at The National Gallery. Searcys is proud to collaborate with the renowned, Michelin-starred Chef Giorgio Locatelli on this project.

Job Details

Salary: £13.85 per hour

Working 5 days over 7, with gallery hours from 10 am to 6 pm, and until 9 pm on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including sinks, surfaces, and floors
• Wash and sanitize utensils, dishes, and equipment
• Keep storage areas clean and adhere to food safety standards
• Manage waste and recycling
• Assist with food prep, such as washing vegetables and chopping ingredients
• Organize and store kitchen supplies for easy access
• Help unload deliveries and store items properly

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is preferred but not mandatory.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and hygiene.

Teamwork skills.
