Job summary

Dobbies Garden Centres is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support our restaurant operations. You will help with general kitchen duties and dishwashing, ensuring meals are prepared to a high standard and delivered on time.

You will work as part of a busy kitchen team, uphold food safety and health & safety rules, and develop knowledge of dietary requirements and allergens in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must enjoy working with food and delivering great customer experiences.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Shows understanding of kitchen health, safety and hygiene rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general kitchen duties and proactive support.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure dishwasher operations and equipment are ready for service.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to present meals to a high standard and on time.
• Learn dietary requirements, allergens and safety procedures.

Our Kitchen Porters play an essential role in delivering an exceptional customer experience across our Restaurants - delivering tasty food, ensuring food hygiene and maintaining high operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Working proactively and supporting general kitchen duties
• Ensure smooth running of restaurant operations including cleaning, dishwasher operations and equipment availability
• Working alongside the kitchen team to ensure your customers are presented with their meal to a high standard and on time
• Developing your knowledge of dietary requirements, allergens and health & safety

• Experience of working in food service
• Knowledge and understanding of kitchen health, safety and hygiene rules
• Relevant food safety qualifications would be ideal
