Pay: £12.21 per hour

Hours: 25 hours per week

Working: Monday to Friday (9:30am-3:00pm)

Equated pay: This method of pay spreads your earnings, holiday pay, and contracted hours over 12 months, providing consistent monthly income. Further details will be provided at the interview stage.

As a Kitchen Porter for Sodexo at LVS Hassocks, London Road, Sayers Common, BN6 9HT, you will be a vital part of the kitchen team. Your responsibilities include maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and food & beverage areas. Your cheerful, can-do attitude will contribute positively to everyone's daily experience.

What You’ll Do:

1. Wash crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, equipment, and food service items.
2. Keep floors, walls, bins, and delivery areas clean and tidy.
3. Assist with crushing and disposing of cardboard and boxes.
4. Support fridge and freezer cleaning with chef assistance.
5. Maintain cleanliness and safety in working areas.
6. Follow health and safety, fire, hygiene, and COSHH regulations, using chemicals correctly.
7. Report accidents and near misses to the Chef.
8. Report shortages of equipment or chemicals to the Supervisor.

What You Bring:

• A positive attitude, professionalism, and respect for others.
• Ability to lift heavy items and work standing for long periods (up to 8 hours).
• No previous experience required.
