Job summary

Houston & Hawkes in Central London is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join a busy professional kitchen. You will work alongside our culinary team to keep the kitchen clean, well-organised and ready for service, supporting chefs and ensuring high standards across breakfast, lunch and hospitality services.

Qualifications

• Previous Kitchen Porter experience within contract catering, restaurants, hotels or a professional kitchen would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen, wash-up and back-of-house areas exceptionally clean and organised.
• Ensure pots, pans, crockery, utensils and kitchen equipment are cleaned and ready for service.
• Support the chefs with basic food preparation when required.
• Receive deliveries and ensure stock is stored safely and correctly.
• Keep storage, waste and recycling areas organised throughout the day.
• Maintain excellent standards during busy breakfast, lunch and hospitality services.
• Work closely with the culinary team to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Take pride in the small details that help create an exceptional kitchen environment.
