Job summary

Impact Food Group (IFG) is seeking a Kitchen Porter for Eaton House Schools in London. You will support busy school catering teams by washing pots, pans and crockery, checking deliveries, and keeping kitchens clean to high hygiene standards.

Working Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (37.5 hours weekly, 37 weeks per year), you’ll enjoy daytime hours, school holiday breaks, free meals on shift, and opportunities for training and progression. DBS and safeguarding steps are part of the recruitment process.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, retail, or customer service is helpful, but not essential
• A positive, team-focused attitude
• Willingness to follow food hygiene and safety standards
• Reliability and pride in maintaining high standards
• No formal qualifications are required—we’ll support you to develop your skills and grow within the business.

Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans, cutlery, and crockery using an industrial dishwasher or by hand as required
• Checking incoming deliveries, ensuring stock is correct, and storing it safely
• Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times
• Supporting the catering team to provide a friendly, efficient, and high-quality service to all customers

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Shifts & Working hours: 9am-5pm (37.5 hours per week)

Working Weeks: 37 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)

Pay Details: £21,294.38 per Annum

What will I be doing?

• Washing pots, pans, cutlery, and crockery using an industrial dishwasher or by hand as required
• Checking incoming deliveries, ensuring stock is correct, and storing it safely
• Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times
• Supporting the catering team to provide a friendly, efficient, and high-quality service to all customers
