Job summary

Metropolitan Gaming in London is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the smooth running of our busy kitchen. You will keep areas clean, assist the team, and ensure hygiene standards are met, with a focus on efficiency during service.

This role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and shifts that mirror a 24/7 operation. You should be 18+, have the right to work in the UK, and be prepared to stand for long periods while interacting with guests.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and have the right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to work nights, evenings, weekends and shifts in a 24/7 operation.
• Able to spend long periods on your feet and maintain a courteous manner with guests.

Responsibilities

• Keep Bin Room tidy, clean, wash and disinfect daily.
• Economise on chemicals and disposable items; liaise with Sous Chef for stock.
• Carry out duties for restaurant and bar in a courteous manner.
• Perform safe cleaning of floors with proper warning signs.
• Carry out other duties as requested by the Sous Chef.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to carry out general manual duties within the kitchen as directed by the Head Chef and to ensure that all working areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.

Main Responsibilities

• Keep Bin Room as tidy as possible and to clean, wash and disinfect it every day.
• Economise on use of chemicals and in particular disposable items (i.e. Rubber Gloves, Cloths) as much as possible. Liaise with Sous Chef when new stock is required.
• Carry out duties for restaurant and bar in a courteous manner without asking for incentives.
• Carry out safe cleaning of floors using appropriate warning signs.
• Carry out any other duties as requested by the Sous Chef.

Please Note:

You must be aged 18 or above and have the right to work in the UK
This position requires working nights, evenings, weekends and shifts that coincide with a 24/7 trading week so individuals should be flexible in their scheduling.
Kitchen Porters will spend a large portion of their shift on their feet working directly with the public.
