Job summary

Searcys at the Royal College of Surgeons of England is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team with cleanliness and basic food preparation. This flexible role offers a 0-hour contract, most shifts 8am–4pm, and opportunities to work at London’s prestigious events.

Ideal candidates will be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a busy environment while collaborating with chefs and staff across venues.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen area, including sinks, countertops, and floors.
• Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness in storage areas and ensure food safety standards are followed.
• Assist with waste management and recycling.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables and cutting ingredients.
• Organise and store kitchen supplies, ensuring they are readily available for use.
• Help with unloading deliveries and storing items appropriately.

Searcys are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the team at RCS.

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to assist the Kitchen Team in the day to day running of the Kitchen. As a Searcys Kitchen Porter you will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen staff by ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen areas, as well as assisting with basic food preparation.

The Royal College of Surgeons of England is an independent professional body and registered charity that promotes and advances standards of surgical care for patients, and regulates surgery and dentistry in England and Wales.

Salary: £14.80 per hour

Hours: Flexible / 0 hours contract

Hours mostly are 8am till 4pm

Mostly Monday To Friday

Key Responsibilities:
