We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced or aspiring Kitchen Porter with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious education settings.

Nestled in the heart of Surrey, this prestigious independent school, Woldingham School, caters for around 600 day pupils plus boarders and staff. It includes breakfast, lunch, and supper services, as well as extensive hospitality. The operation runs 7 days a week, but you will typically work 5 days, mainly during daytime shifts.

Job Description

As a future Kitchen Porter, you will…

• Maintain cleanliness of the Back of House area, including cleaning and organizing dishes and utensils.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, notifying management of shortages or discrepancies.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing concerns or dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Experience working within education catering is preferred.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Flexible, customer-focused, with a can-do attitude.
• Fun, enthusiastic, and a team player.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
