Job summary

Strand Palace in central London is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team, maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards, and help the kitchen run smoothly every day.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or kitchen porter role is preferred.
• Strong guest focus and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Clean the kitchen area and surroundings before, during and after service.
• Keep hot and cold drinks area replenished and cleaned daily.
• Carry general kitchen duties including washing up and waste disposal.
• Receive and store perishable and non-perishable stock per HACCAP and hotel standards.
• Ensure fridges and store areas are kept clean and tidy.

What You Will Be Doing

• Clean the kitchen area and its surroundings before, during and after service including equipment, and floors
• Ensure the hot & cold drinks area is kept replenished and cleaned on a daily basis
• Carry general kitchen duties such as operating the dishwasher, washing all cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils and waste disposal
• Ensure all perishable/non-perishable stock is received and stored correctly, adhering to HACCAP regulations and Hotel standards
• Ensure fridges & store areas are kept clean and tidy
