Job summary

Berkeley Scott in Glasgow is recruiting Kitchen Porters / Kitchen Assistants / Catering Assistants to work at multiple sites across Glasgow.

Roles include working in busy production kitchens, assisting with basic food preparation and service, and helping with the clear down and closure of the kitchen under the Head Chef. Immediate starts and flexible shifts are offered, with weekly pay and diverse venues across the region.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Food Safety Qualification or willingness to undertake this qualification.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes challenging environment.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Good team player as well as ability to work on own initiative.
• Take pride in your work.

Responsibilities

• Working in busy production kitchens.
• Assisting with basic food preparation and service.
• Assisting with the clear down and closure of the kitchen.
• Use of large and small dishwashers as well as washing by hand where required.
• Maintaining the overall cleanliness of the kitchens and undertaking roles as requested to do so by their Head Chef.

Candidates who already hold a current DBS Check or Disclosure Scotland PVG membership are highly desirable; however, if an existing certificate or membership requires updating, we can arrange this for the successful candidate.

Pay rates are dependent on experience and/or the client site.
