Job summary

voco Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow is seeking a dedicated Full Time Kitchen Porter to join our energetic Kitchen Brigade. Immediate starts available—be part of a vibrant kitchen team delivering exceptional guest experiences.

In this role you will wash cooking equipment, keep the area clean, and ensure sanitation of key workspaces in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Join a team that prides itself on a warm Glasgow welcome and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Availability to work a variety of shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Experience working as a Kitchen Porter or as Prep Chef would be preferred.
• Ability to work independently, working to time deadlines and at a fast pace.
• An un-stuffy, thoughtful approach to service and ability to be a host to our guests.
• Interest in environment and sustainability.
• Ready to work in our voco team and provide a warm Glasgow welcome.

As a Kitchen Porter, your main duties and responsibilities will be working in our fast-paced Kitchen environment and supporting the team by washing our cooking equipment, keeping the area clean and tidy and ensuring sanitisation of important workspaces!

We are looking for someone who has…

• Availability to work a variety of shifts, 40 hours per week.
• Experience working as a Kitchen Porter or as Prep Chef would be preferred.
• Ability to work independently, working to time deadlines and at a fast pace.
• An un-stuffy, thoughtful approach to service. You will be someone who enjoys showcasing your personality and your ability to be a host to our guests, providing them with a laid-back stay.
