Job summary

voco Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow is seeking a Part Time Breakfast Team Member to deliver a warm, welcoming experience for guests. You will seat guests, explain the breakfast concept, and take hot drink orders, while maintaining a clean breakfast station and supporting the kitchen to ensure outstanding service.

This role requires availability 6.30am–3.00pm including weekends, prior waiter/server experience in a hotel, and a friendly, host-like approach.

voco Grand Central Hotel are looking for our next Part Time Breakfast Team Member to join us in creating a warm voco welcome for our guests!

Our locally curated voco Grand Central stands strong in Glasgow’s city centre, bringing together un-stuffy service and a warm Glasgow welcome to our business and leisure guests alike. Holding the biggest ballroom in Scotland with natural light and our iconic award-winning Champagne Central Bar, our Hotel is full of over 140 years of culture, history and storytelling with our relaxing spaces for guests to enjoy.

As a Breakfast Team Member, your main duties and responsibilities will be greeting our guests with a friendly and warm welcome, seating them for breakfast, explaining our breakfast concept to them and taking hot drink orders. You will also make sure that our breakfast station is kept clean and organised at all times, working closely with the kitchen team to provide an excellent breakfast service to our guests and consistently improving our breakfast scores.

We are looking for someone who has…

• Availability to work 6.30am-3.00pm including weekends across 2 x 4 hours shifts
• Experience as a waiter/waitress or server ideally in a 4 or 5* Hotel
• An eye for detail - you will make sure our breakfast service is up to voco standards
• An un-stuffy, thoughtful approach to service. You will be someone who enjoys showcasing your personality and your ability to be a host to our guests, providing them with a laid-back stay
• An interest in our environment and sustainability – we are characterised by innovation and finding ways to become more sustainable
• Overall, ready to work in our voco team and provide our guests with a warm Glasgow welcome!
