Job summary

Haven is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team in the UK. You will help keep the kitchen clean, assist with basic food preparation, and support the chefs to ensure smooth operations.

This role is suited for someone with a strong work ethic, good teamwork, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Comprehensive training and career development are provided.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, but previous work in a kitchen environment or as a porter or a catering background is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, with the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods.
• Excellent team player with good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen clean and orderly by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, as well as sanitising surfaces, equipment, and floors according to health and safety standards.
• Perform basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, prepping ingredients, and assembling simple dishes as directed by the chefs.
• Help maintain stock levels in the kitchen by organizing ingredients, unpacking deliveries, and storing items properly.
