Job summary

Haven in Ayr is seeking a Kitchen Porter to keep the kitchen running smoothly, with opportunities to learn and grow.

Pay rates: Up to £12.71 per hour depending on age. No prior experience required; you will wash dishes, assist with basic food prep, and help maintain stock and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment. Flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, are available.

Qualifications

• No prior experiencerequired, butpreviouswork in a kitchen environment or as a porter or a catering background is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, with the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing forlong periods.
• Excellent team player withgood communicationskills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Keep the kitchen clean and orderly by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, as well as sanitising surfaces, equipment, and floors according to health and safety standards.
• Perform basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, prepping ingredients, and assembling simple dishes as directed by the chefs.
• Helpmaintainstock levels in the kitchen by organising ingredients, unpacking deliveries, and storing items properly.
