Job summary

The View Hotel Eastbourne, part of Aimbridge Hospitality, is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team with cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and dining areas. You will wash dishes, clean equipment, assist with basic food prep, and manage waste, following health and safety guidelines.

The role offers an annualised hours contract with shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

As Kitchen Porter in our hotel, you play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in both the kitchen and dining areas. Your responsibilities will include washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, assisting with basic food preparation, and managing waste disposal. Following strict health and safety guidelines is essential to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

To thrive in this fast-paced role, you’ll need strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate well within a team, and the physical stamina to keep up with the demands of the kitchen.

• Attention to Detail:You’ll have a keen eye for cleanliness, ensuring all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces are spotless, free from grease, dirt, and contaminants to maintain the highest hygiene standards.
• Effective Communication:You will communicate clearly with kitchen and front-of-house staff, follow instructions accurately, and feel comfortable asking questions to keep operations running smoothly.
