The View Hotel Eastbourne, part of Aimbridge Hospitality, invites applications for a Chef de Partie. You will cook and present dishes in your specialty, lead junior kitchen staff, and support the sous and head chef in menu development.
This role requires at least two years in a similar kitchen; you will operate in a fast-paced environment, maintain high hygiene standards, manage portions and waste, and contribute to the hotel's food and beverage success.

As a Chef de Partie, your key responsibilities include preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes within your specialty. You are also responsible for managing and training any demi-chef de parties or commis working with you, helping the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes and menus, and ensuring that you and your team maintain high standards of food hygiene and follow health and safety regulations. Additionally, monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins is a crucial part of your role. By fulfilling these responsibilities, you play a vital role in ensuring the success of the kitchen and all hotel food and beverage operations.
To be successful in this role, you'll need great cooking skills and a deep understanding of different ingredients, flavours, and cooking techniques. You must be confident working in a fast paced environment, with the ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining high standards.
You should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within a busy kitchen environment where consistency, quality, and pace are essential. #
This position offers flexibility in working patterns and is offered on an annualised hours contract, providing greater stability of income while allowing hours to be scheduled in line with business needs throughout the year. This can offer a better work-life balance, increased flexibility, and the opportunity to work additional hours during peak periods while maintaining guaranteed contracted hours.
