Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment; ensure cleanliness of items.
• Keep kitchen, pot wash and back-of-house areas clean and hygienic; follow schedules and records.
• Support kitchen team before, during and after service; assist as needed.
• Handle waste, bins, deliveries and stock; receive and store deliveries securely.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and health & safety; follow HACCP, COSHH and procedures.
• Attend training and meetings; perform other duties to support operations.

Areyou reliable, hardworking and enjoy working as part of a busy kitchen team?We're looking for a Kitchen Porter to join us in Edinburgh, where you'll playan important role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and maintaining highstandards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Inthis role, you'll support the kitchen team with pot washing, cleaning equipmentand work areas, managing waste, and ensuring crockery, utensils and equipmentare clean and available when needed. If you're organised, have a positiveattitude and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear fromyou!

What you'll do:

• Clean and wash dishes, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans and kitchen equipment, ensuring clean items are always available when needed.
• Keep the kitchen, pot wash and back-of-house areas clean, tidy, organised and hygienic throughout service, following cleaning schedules and maintaining required records.
• Support the kitchen team before, during and after service, working collaboratively with colleagues and assisting wherever required.
• Handle food waste, bins, deliveries and stock, including safely clearing waste, receiving and storing deliveries, and moving or putting away stock and equipment.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and health & safety, following HACCP, COSHH and company procedures, and promptly reporting hazards, defects or damaged equipment.
• Attend required training and meetings and carry out other reasonable duties as requested by management to support the smooth running of the operation.
