Job description

Company Description

The Hoxton, Edinburgh

We can’t wait to open our first UK hotel outside of London—and where better than the characterful capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. We are now looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team and play a crucial part in launching our brand in this new neighborhood. Reporting to the Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for ensuring a clean workspace and maintaining high standards in the kitchen and back of house areas.

The Hox in Edinburgh will feature 214 bedrooms influenced by the Georgian heritage of the building and city, including a new room category for the Hox, a main restaurant, a large lobby & bar, a big event space, and The Apartment—our unique meetings and events concept.

More about us…

The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighborhood we love. Since opening our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve aimed to offer more than just a bed for the night: style combined with good value, vibrant public spaces, and opportunities for guests to connect with locals.

Job Description

What's in it for you...

  • Become part of a passionate team dedicated to creating excellent hospitality experiences.
  • Competitive hourly salary.
  • 29 days holiday (including bank holidays), pension, and life insurance.

  • Enjoy a free night at The Hoxton and a meal for two upon starting.
  • Ongoing training and development to help you succeed and thrive.
  • Time off to volunteer with our partner charities.
  • Recognition rewards like Hox Hero and Nifty Fifty for going the extra mile.
  • Participation in diversity and inclusion events to learn and celebrate.
  • Regular team gatherings and parties.
  • A creative, rewarding work environment that challenges the norm.
  • Opportunities within an innovative, fast-growing international group.
  • Discounts across The Hoxton and Ennismore family hotels.

  • A positive attitude that leaves guests and colleagues with a memorable impression.
  • Humility and team spirit—egos left at the door.
  • Willingness to try new things and adapt.
  • A sense of humor and ability to enjoy team camaraderie.
