Get Golfing CIO, a charity with a mission to make golf more accessible for all, is seeking an experienced Kitchen Assistant to join our team at The Arkley 9 Golf Club.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a thriving and dynamic organisation which manages and operates 13 sites with 7,000 members and over 160,000 visitors each year.
The successful candidate will be part of a £20m revenue company of 400 people which reinvests profits from its operations into its venues, courses, the development of its people, and importantly, community oriented charitable initiatives local to its sites.
Our model is to maximise revenue through memberships, golf days, events, functions, and F&B. We say that "our courses are for golfers while our clubhouses are for everyone".

The Role
We take pride in delivering outstanding food and service, whether at busy events or in our welcoming Clubhouse. As a Kitchen Porter, you'll play a key part in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and hygienically. You'll work closely with our chefs and kitchen team, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced food service environment.
This is a casual position and requires flexibility to work
weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to a high standard.
- Wash, dry, and store crockery, pots, and pans efficiently.
- Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Help keep kitchen and storage areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
- Assist in receiving and correctly storing food deliveries.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the kitchen manager.
- Monitor and correctly dispose of food waste
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good communication skills and an ability to work well in a team
- Willingness to maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene
- Good timekeeping and organisational skills
- Previous kitchen experience preferred, but not essential
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
