Job summary

Trading Post Coffee Roasters is hiring a Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. You’ll help keep the kitchen clean, support the chefs and ensure service runs smoothly, contributing to the exceptional guest experience we’re known for.

This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in their work and is eager to learn and develop. We offer structured training, a supportive team culture and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Good organisational skills are important.
• Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service.
• Wash and sanitise kitchen equipment, crockery, utensils and cookware.
• Support the chefs by maintaining clean workstations throughout the day.
• Assist with deliveries and safely store stock in the correct locations.
• Dispose of waste responsibly and maintain recycling procedures.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Help with basic food preparation when required.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure every service runs smoothly.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you'll play an essential role in keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running efficiently. You'll support the chefs by ensuring they have everything they need to deliver exceptional food, helping create the outstanding customer experience Trading Post is known for.

A Day in the Life

As a Kitchen Porter, you'll:

• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service.

Previous experience

We're looking for someone with:

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience working in a commercial kitchen.
• A Level 2 Food Safety qualification.
• Experience with stock deliveries or food preparation.
• An ambition to progress into a chef role.
