Job summary

Sodexo Group in Aylesbury is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join a busy catering team. You will help keep the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly in a professional, fast-paced environment.

Whether you have previous kitchen experience or are starting a career in catering, you’ll be part of a supportive team where your contribution makes a difference. Full training will be provided to help you succeed in the role.

Qualifications

• Positive, friendly attitude with a strong team-working approach.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen, utensils and equipment.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic preparation and general kitchen duties.
• Ensure dishes, pots and equipment are washed efficiently and returned to the appropriate areas.
• Dispose of waste safely and correctly, following site procedures.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report any shortages or requirements to the appropriate person.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations at all times.
