Job summary

Sodexo Group in the United Kingdom is hiring a Kitchen Porter to support a busy catering operation. You will help keep the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

We offer 40 hours per week across 5 days, with Early shifts 6:00-13:30 and Late shifts 12:00-19:00. Prior kitchen experience is desirable but not essential; full training provided.

Qualifications

• Positive, friendly attitude with a strong team-working approach.
• Able to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail, cleanliness and hygiene.
• Reliable and willing to support the wider kitchen team when needed.
• Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential.
• Full training will be provided to help you succeed in the role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen, utensils and equipment.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic preparation and general kitchen duties.
• Ensure dishes, pots and equipment are washed efficiently and returned to the appropriate areas.
• Dispose of waste safely and correctly, following site procedures.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report any shortages or requirements to the appropriate person.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations at all times.
