Job summary

Slug And Lettuce in Leeds is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead the kitchen team, uphold high standards, and drive performance. You will mentor staff, ensure strict COSHH and food safety compliance, and collaborate with front-of-house to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

You will oversee onboarding, training, and day-to-day kitchen operations while maintaining cost controls and hygiene standards in a fast-paced pub environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team and delivering consistent high standards.
• Strong understanding of COSHH, Food Safety, and general health & safety compliance.
• Able to coach and develop junior team members and manage shifts.

Responsibilities

• Hire and onboard new team members in an inclusive, welcoming manner.
• Lead and develop the kitchen team with ongoing training and growth opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and a safe workspace.
• Manage the kitchen schedule to ensure efficient staffing and labour targets.
• Conduct regular stock checks to control costs and meet targets.
• Collaborate with front-of-house to drive sales and improve service.
