Job summary

Churchfield Church School, part of the Bath & Wells Multi Academy Trust, seeks an enthusiastic Kitchen Manager to run the school kitchen, prepare and serve nutritious meals, and lead a small kitchen team. The role supports the health, wellbeing and school experience of every child within a Christian ethos and inclusive of all pupils.

• Has experience of working with and preparing food.
• Holds a minimum Basic Food Hygiene qualification.
• Is trained in food handling.
• Has a good knowledge of food hygiene practices.
• Understands the importance of health and safety and COSHH requirements.
• Can confidently lead, supervise and support a small team.
• Can organise their workload and work to strict deadlines.
• Can plan effectively while working within agreed budgets and nutritional guidelines.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Has basic IT skills and can maintain appropriate records.
• Is reliable, patient, flexible and willing to undertake further training as required.
• Is committed to ensuring the excellent health, safety and welfare of children.
