Job description

Kitchen Fitter needed in Poole, £17.99ph (PAYE - Reference: 5268268)

Responsibilities:

1. Undertake work as directed by supervisors, the Repairs Centre through DRS, and the mobile working system.
2. Complete high-quality and efficient repairs, ensuring first-time right work, considering long-term maintenance and repair.
3. Interact with clients to provide excellent customer care—show ID, explain work and inaccessible areas, keep them informed, and communicate outcomes. Ensure the site is safe, clean, and tidy. Never dispose of building refuse on site, smoke, or use inappropriate language. Be polite at all times and report wellbeing concerns to the HR and Operations Supervisor. Focus on quality of work, positive client interactions, and problem resolution to develop a professional service approach both on-site and in the office.
4. Work to complete jobs on the first visit whenever possible. Collaborate with the planner to ensure resources are available and time is efficiently managed with realistic task timeframes.
5. Verify SOR codes booked to the job, update as necessary, and ensure correct materials are used, seeking supervisor advice if unsure.
6. Complete all safety check forms, daily van safety checks, and required paperwork and safety inspections.
7. Ensure access to proper training, equipment, PPE, and follow safe systems of work. Consult supervisors or the Health and Safety Manager if in doubt, and comply with policies and RAMs.
8. Order materials efficiently and communicate with Procurement and Pricing Supervisor regarding issues or suggestions.
9. Maintain a clean and organized van environment.

This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
