Job summary

InspireAll invites applications for a part-time Kitchen Cook at Furzefield Leisure Centre, Potters Bar. The role is 16 hours per week, weekends (Sat and Sun 8am–4pm) with possible weekday cover. Salary is £27,296.88 pa pro rata (£13.46 p/h).

You will prepare and cook food, serve customers, and maintain café/kitchen cleanliness, with cash handling during shifts. DBS check may be required; closing date 1 Oct 2026; Equal Opportunities employer.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Hygiene is desirable; full training provided.
• Experience in catering including customer care, health and safety, and food hygiene is desirable.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a weekend Kitchen Cook, to join an enthusiastic and friendly team within InspireAll.

About the job:

• You will be responsible for preparation and cooking of food
• You will be responsible for serving customers with food and beverages and providing excellent customer service
• You will be responsible for cleaning and general housekeeping of the café and kitchen area
• You will be required to undertake cash handling and reconciliation of monies at the end of each shift.

Required skills and experience:

• A minimum of level 2 Food Hygiene is desirable however full training will be provided
• Experience in catering, including Customer Care, Health and Safety and Food Hygiene is also desirable
