Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a General Assistant to support kitchen operations in our facilities management environment. Working pattern is 10am-2pm, you will help with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, assist with deliveries, and serve food to customers, with flexibility for events.

Commercial kitchen experience is valued but not essential; a basic catering certificate is desirable. You will benefit from Wagestream pay options and Hapi app discounts, joining a diverse team that values

Qualifications

Commercial kitchen experience is valued but not essential.
Basic catering/hospitality certificate is desirable but not essential.
Excellent time management skills and can work under pressure.
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Help with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and making sandwiches and salads.
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area and equipment, including cleaning utensils, tableware, and catering stations.
Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries, ensuring food and storage areas are organised.
Serve food items to customers in accordance with the menu; may assist as host/waiter at events.
