Job summary

Wickes is seeking a Kitchen and Bathroom Design Consultant in the Wales showroom to guide customers from initial conversation to home visits, turning ideas into finished spaces.

You will use design tools to create inspiring plans, support customers through the full journey, and stay organized while upholding standards across GDPR and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and able to build trusted relationships.
• Sales-driven with consultative selling experience and target focus.
• Creative and practical, able to realize ideas in space design.
• Calm, confident, and professional under pressure.
• Organised, proactive and detail-oriented in a showroom context.
• Industry awareness and understanding of local market trends.
• Some experience with design tools and a valid UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Wickes customer journey in-store, virtually or at customers' homes.
• Turn prospects into customers by finding best space and budget solutions and generate showroom leads.
• Create inspiring designs using design tools and present ideas with customers.
• Maintain showroom displays and uphold high standards.
• Keep customers updated and communicate progress clearly.
• Comply with company policies and regulations including GDPR and health & safety.

You’ll help customers design and create spaces that make a real difference in their homes. From the first conversation in our showroom to visiting them at home, you’ll guide them through the process with care.

If you’re passionate about providing a great customer experience join us as a Kitchen and Bathroom Design Consultant. You’ll help customers design and create spaces that make a real difference in their homes. From the first conversation in our showroom to visiting them at home, you’ll guide them through the process with care.

You’ll take the time to understand what matters to them, offer product advice, and use your design knowledge to bring their ideas to life. Every project is unique and every project matters. You’ll own the full customer experience from start to finish.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver our full Wickes customer journey: whether it’s in-store, virtual, or at a customer’s home, you’ll treat every customer with the same attention.
• Turn prospects into customers finding the best solutions for our customers' space and budget. You’ll also be proactive in generating leads within your showroom.
• Create inspiring designs using our design tools, presenting and refining ideas in collaboration with customers.
• Look after your showroom maintaining displays and keeping up our high standards.
• Stay organised and proactive keeping our customers updated and always communicating progress clearly.
• Stay compliant with all company policies and regulations including finance, GDPR, and health & safety.

About You

• You’re customer-focused: you’re a great listener who enjoys helping customers and building trusted relationships.
• You’re sales driven and results-minded: you’re experienced in consultative selling and are motivated to achieve and exceed sales targets while doing what’s right for our customers.
• You're creative and practical: you can see the possibilities in a space and know how to make ideas work.
• You’re calm and confident: you handle challenges with professionalism and keep things moving forward.
• You’re organised and proactive: you take ownership, stay on top of details, and get things done.
• You’re industry savvy: you keep up to date with the latest trends and understand your local market
• Some experience of using design tools would be desirable, however a working knowledge of similar tools such AutoCAD or Photoshop would be an advantage.You will also need a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle as you’ll visit customers at home.
