The Hive Cafe in Watford is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the cafe chef, maintain stock and cleanliness, and uphold high hygiene standards during busy service. The role requires a friendly, proactive team player with good English and a can-do attitude.

Working hours are 9:00am–15:30pm, Monday to Friday, totaling 30 hours per week. Paid at £14.04 per hour, with benefits including holiday entitlement and training opportunities.

Smiley, happy, friendly, willing & keen individual required for our busy Cafe in Watford with a can do attitude who will just get on and do any task within the kitchen environment including mechanical washing up, cleaning duties & putting deliveries away. As the kitchen assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Cafe chef in maintaining high quality food preparation & presentation, taking ownership of your section, communicate effectively with the team, adhere to all food safety & hygiene regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in your assigned section and throughout the kitchen.

Job Description

As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a key part in the kitchen ensuring a busy service runs smoothly. You’ll make sure everything is well stocked, clean, and the team around you have everything they need to create the perfect dish for our customers.
