Job summary

Blue Arrow is recruiting a Kitchen Assistant for Sidmouth, Devon to help the care home kitchen team deliver quality meals to residents. You will support the chef, prepare fresh ingredients, and maintain a clean kitchen in line with Health and Safety standards.

The role runs over a 40-hour week (Mon-Sun) at £12.85 per hour. A DBS check is required or can be applied for if not held. A car driver is required as the role is not commutable by public transport.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a health care setting is not essential; however, may prepare you better for the role.

My client is looking to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to assist with delivering quality meals to our residents in the care home. This is a perfect opportunity to gain some experience within the kitchen or perhaps the development of a new career in catering. You will be helping to ensure that our residents dietary requirements are met.

Responsibilities of the Kitchen Assistant:

As a Kitchen Assistant; you will be taking an active role in supporting the Chef with the preparation and delivery of meals for residents.

As well as preparing fresh ingredients for various meals, you will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and tidy kitchen area that adheres to both Health and Safety regulations and the exemplary standards of the home.
