Job summary

Stow Healthcare Group is seeking a Kitchen Assistant (Part Time) to join our catering team in Huntingdon. You will work 20 hours per week, 10am–6pm, with alternate weekends, and be supported by a chef to ensure high-quality meals for residents.

You’ll keep the kitchen spotless and help with scheduling tasks as part of a caring team. You may have previous kitchen experience or be new to catering, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Some previous experience in a kitchen is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to keep the kitchen tidy and support the chef.
• Able to prepare simple meals with guidance.

Kitchen Assistant - Part Time

As part of our catering team, you are fundamental to the smooth running of the home every day for our residents. Supported by a chef, you will ensure that high-quality meals are prepared according to taste and need. You will take pride in keeping your kitchen environment spotless, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard.

The skills you’ll need

To join us as a Kitchen Assistant, you will benefit from having some previous experience working in a kitchen environment, but consideration will also be given to an enthusiastic candidate who wants to start in a catering environment for the first time. You will feel at home in keeping the kitchen tidy, completing scheduled tasks and supporting your catering colleagues. You will be happy to prepare simple meals with support from the chef.

• Full training can be provided if you do not have experience
• Flexibility, patience, caring attitude and a real 'people person'
