Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Chalgrove Care Home in the UK. You will assist the chef to prepare nutritious meals, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safe food handling while engaging warmly with residents during dining times.

This role offers £12.72 per hour, a 40-hour week with weekend shifts, and opportunities for training and development within a growing care provider family.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ right to work in the UK.
• Previous kitchen experience.
• Flexible to work 40 hours per week, including alternate weekends.
• A positive, team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support the chef to prepare balanced, nutritious meals and snacks.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow food safety, COSHH, and health & safety guidelines.
• Work both independently and as part of the team.
• Engage with residents, bringing warmth and friendliness to the dining experience.
