Job summary

Mayfield College in Torquay is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the team in a non-cooking capacity. The role involves clearing dishes, washing utensils, rubbish disposal and cleaning equipment and floors, under the supervision of the kitchen manager.

The position is 11.00 am to 2.00 pm, Monday to Friday, during term time with a one-week holiday and potential early closing if a suitable candidate is found.

Qualifications

• General responsibilities include dishwashing, utensil cleaning, rubbish disposal, and cleaning kitchen areas.
• Role is 3 hours per day, 11.00 am to 2.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
• Term time only (minus 1 week).

• Washing utensils and dishes and storing them properly
• Disposing of rubbish
• Cleaning kitchen equipment and floors
• Any other cleaning tasks as directed by the kitchen manager

Job description

We are looking for a candidate who is keen, motivated and able to work as part of a team to join us as a Kitchen Assistant at Mayfield College. This will be a non-cooking role.

• Disposing of rubbish
• Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
• Any other cleaning tasks as directed by the kitchen manager

The role is for 3 hours a day, 11.00 am to 2.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Term time only (minus 1 week).
